FLEX CRASH ISSUE fix for me

if you have installed it you need to clean it , uninstall delete the fl 2026 folder

in program/image-line/ and delete fl2026

to install :

in the FL_Studio_26.1.1.5547-WD folder

dont copy the plugins folder

and the the reg file

and you good enjoy

ran into some flex crash issues myself today (didn't touch a thing)

but.. i'm all gd now if you are affected with similar issues here's what i did..

un-install start clean

exclude the following folders from detection from anti v

1. Image-Line - FL Studio Producer Edition v26.1.1 folder

2. then go to FL_Studio_26.1.1.5547-WD/plugins/fruity/generators/

(block the flex folder)

install

1. INSTALL FL_26 APPLICATION

2. COPY THE CONTENTS INSIDE FL_26 1.0.5530-WD

3. RIGHT CLICK DESKTOP ICON >OPEN FILE LOCATION.. AND PASTE YOUR COPIED CONTENT HERE (REPLACE THE FILES WHEN PROMPTED)

For anybody who is getting Flex crashing on execution, reinstall FL and do not copy the plugins folder into the new FL; only copy FL64, FL64 (scaled), and the FLengine D.LL, then use the registration key, and it should work. It worked for me

      once you install fl26 go to the fl26 wd folder highlight all 4 items and right click and copy them
      
      now on your desktop you will have fl26 shortcut..right click this go to open file location
      
      now paste the 4 items you copied here.. when prompted select replace all
      
      now go back to your install folder you will see fl26 reg file (white & blue icon) double click it just ok everything
      
      you should be good
      
      test it out

I excluded all dll from antiv in flex folder and had disabled it during installation too. when i click on system info inside the flex folder, it shows some component is corrupted. The installation videos show that after cutting all the files from that folder, only the "plugins" folder remains, and *that* needs to be moved into "system"—but *not* the "FL_26 WD FOLDER" itself. Please explain that part clearly to me. What about the DLL file that was inside that folder? (Yes, it's the Flex engine DLL; I've already copied it to `packs/flex/packs` and `generators/flex`, etc., and I've even blocked the file in my antivirus for all those paths, yet I'm still getting an error.) Help, please!

For all those with FLEX issues:
1) be sure you're using the ADMIN account (not a common user) !
2) install FL Studio 2026 for ALL the users (not for the current one only) !

All the FLEX packages (old & new, paid & free) work just fine in this 26.1 version.
Just pay attention where you put all the FLEX files:
flex2pack, flexpack, ini & preset files in c:\Program Files\Image-Line\FL Studio 2026\Data\Patches\Packs\FLEX\Packs\
You will need internet connection to download the JPG files for them in
c:\Users\<username>\Documents\Image-Line\Data\FLEX\Images\
The data.json file will be updated in that folder as well.

Be sure you launch the FL Studio 2026 (see the icon options) as ADMIN!
have fun (because everything works just fine).

    You need the administrator account when you start Windows, you need it when you install FL Studio 2026 and you need it when you start the program.
    
    Right mouse click on the program icon, Shortcut / Advanced / Run as administrator

        I think you have either corrupted files or it's looking for packs that aren't there
        
        Try copying all inside this folder
        
        C:/users/username/documents/flex/packs
        
        Place them in c:/program files/image-line/fl26/data/patches/packs/flex/packs

        make a copy of your flex packs store it safe
        
        then delete the files in flex packs from fl26
        
        (any change?)
        
        see if your able to download the free flex packs

I installed the fl26, copied the files to FL studio 26 and opened the .REG file but the FLEX plugin doesnt work. i even tried deactivating the antivirus and the onedrive and reinstall the .rar but it still doesnt work.

The FLEX Packs folder contains both paid and free files, but I’m unable to load the paid ones (such as Drift Phonk and Hypertrance); only the free ones work.

For instance, when I open the Hypertrance file, it appears to be Hypertrance on the surface, but it actually loads instruments from Arksun Cityscape (AC is Free Pack) instead.

If there's no other solution, I guess I'll have to give up.
