Cannot load Soundsource "JX-8P Soundtrack" in Directory "Core Soundsources". 

 Please reinstall  using the "Reinstall" tab of your Spectrasonics user account.

Im getting this when i am trying to load sounds.

Are the 52GB of sounds the exact same for windows and mac?

Hey Folks,

First of I have now got Omnisphere 3 fully running on my Mac!  So this download will work.  However it did take me a couple of hours to set up and get working.

You really need to know your way around Mac OS file system and be confident you know how to move things around.

Here is how I did it.  First off do not install the application yet.  This is the last step.

The crucial thing is to focus on the STEAM folder. (nothing to do with Steam the games thing).
If you have Omnisphere 2 beware installing this will overwrite version 2 and if you don't get it working then you will lose Omnisphere completely.  This initially happened to me but I did get it working.

If you have Omnisphere 2 you will need to find your existing STEAM folder

The STEAM folder is located at Macintosh HD/Users/Your Username/Library/Application Support/Spectrasonics. (This location is hidden by default, so you'll need to access it via the "Go" menu in Finder, then hold the Option key to reveal "Library" or by using "Go to Folder" and typing ~/Library )

Make a copy of your STEAM folder to work on before replacing it latter.

If you don't have Omnisphere 2 then you can start with the STEAM folder created by the first download part 1.

The tricky part is you will need to combine all the different parts into one STEAM folder.  There is no easy way to do this other than manually work your way through each folder and combine it with your new STEAM folder.  (beware there are some duplicates between downloads, make sure you get all the contents)

Once you have created your new steam folder the hard work is done.  You can now place it in the correct place.

The Spectrasonics STEAM folder on macOS is located at Macintosh HD/Users/Your Username/Library/Application Support/Spectrasonics. This location is hidden by default, so you'll need to access it via the "Go" menu in Finder, then hold the Option key to reveal "Library" or by using "Go to Folder" and typing ~/Library

It might be wise (although I am not sure if needed) to also change all the folder preferences to read write and use all enclosed folder option.

Now you can run the application installer program and then run Onnishere app from the applications folder.

Finally run your DAW, in my case Logic, and check its all working.  
The first time i did this I was getting errors every time I tried to load it so I did the whole process again and it worked!.

I have Omnisphere 2 with steam library working. Should I delete that steam folder and download the new one or it will replace by this new steam folder. Anyone do reply??

So you extract the 6-part files for the STEAM file and then do what? They won't merge by holding option and dragging.

The steam folders can't be merged, so how do you take the 6 folders and correctly install them to a single STEAM file in ApplicationSupport/Spectranics/Steam?

 password "www.4download.net" isn't working anymore for the Steam library... anyone know the password? its not "123456" either which is what it is on a couple other things on this website.

How do you install it in Mac?

if you already have omnisphere 2, just download omnisphere 3 and turn off all anti virus. now after downloading install it and wait before you press finish✋ now extract the library, copy and paste into C:ProgramData/Spectronics/Omnisphere/Steam 

Now press finish installation of Omnisphere 3 and open your DAW and open Omnisphere 3 and ENJOY!!

if you don’t have Omnisphere 2 it still works!!

Omnisphere installed. Library also extracted. Not understanding how to connect the library to the vst.
I did not get any prompt for the steam folder. 

I've already installed Trilian, Keyscape, and Omnisphere 2. If I install Omnisphere 3, Trilian and Keyscape won't work anymore! Any advice, please?
