[b]The only thing I did differently was I copied the [u]STEAM[/u] folder into the original [u]Spectrosonics[/u] folder and overwrote the old files.  Bingo!  All is well.[/b]

*It's best to do this with the DAW still closed, and only after replacing the files in step one open the VST to unlock it*

1. COPY THE FILES FROM THE PATCH FOLDER TO THE PATHS BELOW, PASTING THEM INSIDE THESE PATHS AND REPLACING ANY THAT ARE ALREADY THERE

C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VSTPlugins

C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3

2. EXTRACT ONLY THE "license.lic*" FILE FROM THE PATCHED FOLDER TO YOUR DESKTOP

3. OPEN THE PLUGIN IN YOUR DAW AND SELECT THIS LAST EXTRACTED FILE AND CLICK UNLOCK

4. DONE!

I haven't tested it on a Mac.
