Here is Method who are getting problem with new update licence file :

1. Press Windows Key + R on your keyboard.

2. Type (%appdata%\Xfer) into the box. ignore the bracket

Press Enter.

Delete the serum2.lic file.

update your 2.1.5 version

Launch Serum.

Hey Guys , found the Culprit

Go to C:\Users\Your User name \AppData\Roaming\Xfer

"Make sure to put your user name on the above address " ^^^^

Delete the serum2.lic File and open after the 2.1.5 update, it works

had the Xfer Records - Serum 2 v2.0.23 (FiXED - Revision) version.I have installed Xfer Records - Serum v2.1.5 (full version. Zetas) VSTi3, AAX x64 [V.R] and deleted the serum2.lic file from the folder C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Xfer\Serum 2 and stopped asking for a licens

        Deleted everything, reinstalled 2.0.23, it works, update to 2.15, it stops working.
        is there not a way to apply the license AFTER updating. Cause when I change the VST file when installing 2.0.23 it doesn't ask me to locate the license anymore, it just works (I guess cause I did it before? idk). then trying to update it is when I run into the issue. I've deleted and reinstalled at least 4 times and every time 2.0.23 works but updating makes it lead me to the websites.

After upgrading, it wouldn't work at all; I had to delete the VST3 file from "Common Files" and reinstall it, but it reverted to version 2.0.23—the original version.

im confused. i got it downloaded then went to plugins etc on fl and i open serum 2 then it says "Serum 2 Presets Folder Not Found." i press 'locate' but theres no files for me to put in? what am i missing. btw saw a comment saying turn off controlled folder access and it is off. still doesnt work?

The updated version (v2.1.2) of the synth just crashes consistently after using it for about 5-10 mins (quickly choosing a preset and not messing with the synth again seems to work sometimes). Someone said the previous version (v2.0.23) works fine but when i try to use it I have licensing issues, does anyone have a fix for either of these problems?

Most of the presets in serum doesn't load, most likely because I didn't download the Serum v2.1.2 update though.

  Never mind, this time when I downloaded it every preset works. If you have a problem where the presets don't load, you should delete previous xfer/serum2 files and then re-extract and install. If that doesn't work just use zenology.

If you have version 2.0.23 already and are running into the authorization problem, try this:

remove the vst3 from "C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Serum2.vst3"

delete the Xfer folder from C:\Users\Your username\AppData\Roaming

THEN run the 2.1.2 update.

It works but if I spend like 5 minutes on Serum 2, it starts flickering and then crash.
If I open it, choose a preset and close it, then it doesn't crash, weird

Like if it had a selfdestruct mode if you spend too much time with it open

Hi everyone, To get this to work, you need to download both download files from the upper download menu ^^^^^^^ Serum v2.1.2 update rar........Serum 2.0.23 (revision )- X- rar

one you have these files download to your PC's download folder, Extract folders, I use WinRAR.

(1) First install Serum 2.0.23 revision,
(2)Then install Serum v2.1.2 updater ... this bypasses Serums website longing protocols...
and activates automatically

Once finished you should be good to go

Any issues just give me a shout..

Hi, an alle deutschen. Es ist ganz Easy. Erst Downloaden. Dann Download mit Win Rar öffnen. Als Passwort gebt ihr www.4download.net ein.
Dann .exe Datei installieren. Sucht in euren Dateien programme/common files/VST3 die Datei von Serum 2 und löscht die raus. Jetzt nimmt ihr die VST Datei aus dem Win Rar Ordner und kopiert die in den VST3 Ordner. Jetzt öffnet ihr z.B FL Studio, aktualisiert eure Plugins und ihr werdet Serum 2 finden. Öffnet Serum 2 und wählt als Lizenz die .lic Datei aus. Fertig !

As Christian already mentioned, Serum 2 freezes after a few minutes. It may continue running briefly at first, but then the DAW—whether Ableton Live or FL Studio—crashes completely. This update is therefore not usable in its current state.

Bruh, I was having right now a problem when you open the serum2, and says you to log in one account in the site to open the program.
Has one guide who help you to unlock and use normaly but its so bad the explanation, and I gona tech you because chat gpt doesnt help me and I want to help you
Basically all you want to do this
replace the file whos name is Serum2.vst3. on the file C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3 to another file Serum2.vst3 from 4.dowload( The file you instaled here)

On the paste you installed the serum on 4.dowload, it will have the license file and the Serum2.vst3.
Im my case i use Fl studio, First I opened fl studio and opened too the serum pluggin, after I closed the fl studio, and enter in C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3 on file explorer
will have your plugins and another Serum2.vst3.(this is the file we gona replace)
you uninstall this and put the other Serum2.vst3.from the 4.dowload
And voala, I enter in Fl studio and put the license and now you can use it for free

    It does work. Download the file from here. Then, using WinRAR, extract all the files/ open in winrar.
    Then run the installer.
    then go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3 and find the file called "Serum2.vst3".
    Go into winrar and find the pirated version of this file, copy it. Then back to C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3 and select the original file and paste the new one (make sure to click replace)
    Then open serum in ableton and itll ask for a licence file, you can find it in the winrar from what u downloaded. Paste it wherever ableton asks you to and click it then click open in bottom right.
    should work easy peasy

If you have version 2.0.23 already and are running into the authorization problem, try this:

remove the vst3 from "C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Serum2.vst3"

delete the Xfer folder from C:\Users\Your username\AppData\Roaming

THEN run the 2.1.2 update.

  Idk how you guys can get it to work. After updating it to version 2.1.2 my ableton crashes after 5mins of use. Older version 2.0.24 loses license randomly after 30 mins of use. Only version that works for me is 2.0.23 but I can't use all sample packs that are made with newer versions =( hope they fix it
