UJAM Symphonic Elements BRAAASS is a cinematic brass virtual instrument designed to bring powerful orchestral brass performances into modern music production. Instead of requiring detailed orchestration or complex programming, BRAAASS uses a phrase-based performance engine that allows producers and composers to quickly create dramatic, rhythmic, and energetic brass parts.

The instrument features recordings of French horns, trumpets, trombones, and other brass instruments, with the original brass material coming from Hans Zimmer's personal library. The performances were arranged into layered musical phrases by composer Boris Salchow, giving BRAAASS its distinctive cinematic character.

BRAAASS includes 78 Styles, more than 400 pre-arranged phrases, and over 250 sound-design presets, providing a broad range of material for cinematic scoring, trailers, game soundtracks, hip-hop, rock, electronic music, and experimental productions. The interactive keyboard makes it possible to switch between phrases and build evolving performances in real time.

The instrument also provides separate Low Brass and High Brass sections that can be blended using the crossfade control. Character FX provide more than 30 different processing options, while Motion FX can introduce rhythmic movement, filtering, gating, chorus, delay, and other effects.

For deeper sound shaping, the integrated Finisher section offers more than 50 dedicated modes. These effects can transform the original brass material into processed textures, rhythmic elements, evolving soundscapes, and more experimental sounds. The Finisher can also be controlled dynamically using the instrument's knob or MIDI modulation.
