you guys are freakin awesome,

I don't quite understand what the BIN files and the VR.nfo files are for?
The VSTs work just fine without replacing files with forexample the VR.nfo file.
So can I delete the BIN and nfo files and if not whats their purpose?

I installed the above Kontakt 8 in a folder called "Kontakt 8 Unofficial" because I have the legit Kontakt 8. I just found the correct Kontakt to run in that folder and now no DEMO mode!!
And easy install of libraries using the installed "Kontakt Button" app.

Yeah, no DEMO mode but also no integration with my Kontrol S61 MK3 keyboard - so this portable version is no good for me!

That's great thanks - the "Kontakt Button" app installed from the D/L link you provide allows me to add the library perfectly.
But it runs in DEMO mode in Kontakt, so is limited to 15 mins or so use before access nags, reporting that it isn't activated.
