Everything works perfectly. All you have to do is install version 2.0.23 first, then download the update, and then replace the vst3 file with the one you get when you unzip the 2.1.5 folder, and you’ll no longer see the warning that the device isn’t authorized yet. Once you’ve replaced the vst3 file, open the plugin in your DAW and import the .lic file from the folder and that’s it! You’ll be able to use Serum 2 without any errors.
