I'm having the same issue. The reason why we can't add FX is that Serum rurns in demo mode. After a while, you'll get a message saying your evaluation time's up, and a button appears which will take you to Xfer Records' website. I reverted back to 2.0.23. It works for now, but there's a catch. All presets will revert to Init and ruin your project.

I'm using pro tools HD 12.5 ( I think ) and i had the waves plugins before this update and that worked on pro tools fine. Once this one came out I deleted all the old waves plugins and downloaded this one and they stopped showing up.

After about 10 times of getting failed to read reg key,..and looking in the comments. This was my process to install.W/.CLEAN SLATE.. and this is IMPORTANT. I installed Sphere Manger ''2.0'' and Presonus 7.2....FIRST. That was a successful install, and RENEW..THEN.. i installed sphere manager 3.0.. and Fender studio..and it finnally worked!! I belive sphere manager 3.0 cannot create the right file soyou need to creat that file with 2.0 first, and when running 3.0 it will workk..Good luck...
