The file is damaged part happened to me too if I opened Ableton before replacing the live file and doing the terminal code part which could also be the reason authorize.auz gives the error. If you completed everything and the only problem is the authorize.auz try doing my python 3.12 tutorial which I posted somewhere here in the comments

Ableton Live 12 Suite v12.3.2 for MacOS

For everyone not familiar with how to do this (like me) here's what I figured out after multiple tries

- install the 5gb Ableton.dmg installer file
- after that open the folder named "live" within the downloaded folder
- click it to extract the file and you will get another file named "live"
- now right click Ableton within the applications folder in finder and click - show package contents - contents - MacOS - now drag and drop the file "live" which you extracted into there and click replace.

- The code step is simple just copy and paste in terminal and type your Mac password (the password part might not apply to everyone)

Now as to the key gen part I tried using google colab but didn't work for me so I installed python 3.12 and ran locally.

And I have no clue what the fuck python even is so if I can do it, so can you.

Just use chatgpt to help guide you if you run into unique problems by copy and pasting errors from terminal, just replace any text that says keygen with ur mom, and obviously don't mention you are cracking software, don't be suss.

Move the Python script file to your desktop, right click it while holding option and click "copy kyegen.py as pathname"

now go to terminal and type python3 and click paste so it should look something like "python3 /Users/urmomstinky/Desktop/terra.py"

you will now run into errors

What worked for me was opening the python script file in text editor and delete the following text within the file -

from google.colab import files

# 5. Trigger Download
files.download(filename)

!pip install cryptography -q

after that run this command in terminal -
python3 -m pip install cryptography

If you get this error -
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'cryptography'

you need to install cryptography for the python you are using, paste the following in terminal -

python3 -m pip install --upgrade pip
python3 -m pip install cryptography

then run this to verify it works -
python3 -c "import cryptography; print(cryptography.__version__)"

I was also offline doing this (no idea if that did anything)

This worked for me and generated the file, if it generated the file but you don't know where it went paste this in terminal -
mv ~/Authorize.auz ~/Desktop/

It should now be on your desktop and you can drag & drop into Ableton
