Thank you for the update.

We're glad to hear that the patch allowed you to activate the plugins in Logic Pro.

If Waves Essentials is working but Waves Ultimate is not, it usually means that some Ultimate components were not installed correctly when the installation stopped at 97%. Since the installation did not fully complete, a few plugins may be missing even though the activation succeeded.

For now, if Essentials provides the plugins you need, that's perfectly fine. If you decide to try Ultimate again later, we recommend completely removing the current Waves installation, restarting your Mac, and then performing a fresh installation before applying the patch.

1️⃣ Install the Setup and Patch

Run the installer and complete the installation.
Apply the included patch after installation.
2️⃣ Default Installation Path

Everything is pre-patched for:
📂 C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\Kontakt 8
3️⃣ Using a Different Location (Optional)

If you installed Kontakt in another folder, update the registry path:
📍 KEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\ALSupport8\shell\open\command

Set it to:
"C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\Kontakt 8\Kontakt_Button.exe" "%1"

⚠️ Replace the path above with your actual Kontakt installation folder if different.

4️⃣ NativeAccess.xml Prompt

During installation, you may be asked to overwrite NativeAccess.xml.
✔️ Choose "Yes" if your file is older than 13/05/2026.
✔️ Choose "No" if you already have a newer version.

5️⃣ Manual NativeAccess.xml Update

You can also download the latest version from:
https://api.native-instruments.com/static/phints
➡️ Right-click the page and save it as:
NativeAccess.xml

This enables extraction and rebuilding functions.
