I figured out how to make it work:
you just need to install Kontakt from the downloaded folder that you see as soon as you open the .dmg file.
To load the libraries, simply open Kontakt Libraries Tools, then Add Libraries for macOS, open one of the two .dmg files, and from there load the library folder.
After that, just open Kontakt and the library will be loaded automatically.
