For anyone not able to extract the two files properly on macOS, such that the installer does not work, you can fix this by downloading the files on a Windows machine, extracting both .rar files with WinRar/whatever else, and then transferring the uncompressed folder onto your mac, using an external drive or cloud solution. :)
Bit of a hassle, but if you have access to a windows machine, this will make it work.
